I was having a conversation with my daughter, and she told me she didn't feel as pretty as the girls she was seeing on apps like TikTok, that were getting all the attention.  Despite my best efforts to tell her how beautiful she is, the power of social media still had the upper hand.
 
This book, "Yes, you are beautiful too!" is my opportunity to bring something to the playing field that reinforces how beautiful our young African queens really are.  Not only beautiful, but unique and special as well.  If you have a young lady of color in your life, help me in spreading this message to them.   That, no matter what society tries to push as acceptable beauty, theirs is just as prevelant if not more!
